Adianta sessions: Diana Jue on social-impact technology

A Hypothesis about Blogging

Akshay Deodhar and I did a day long blogging and tweeting workshop with Adianta students last week. As we were talking, I offered up a hypothesis about what benefits blogging brought about, which I think merits sharing.

The argument has been made that startups that use blogs seem to grow much faster than those that do not. Now, some may see this as an effect of marketing — that is, the blog is a marketing tool which has caused the startup to find customers and therefore expand its business. Possible. Other possibilities also exist, however, which I think might be more provocative. (more…)
