Blog Talk Analog Gawk Shock…

Gone are the days when higher education would be only for people wanting to take the next step in their chosen fields! I met a guy once who is a theoretical physicist and did his masters from King’s college, London. I later on got to know that he is still at King’s doing his second masters in biography writing. After a year, someone mentioned at a party that he was doing his phd in music appreciation!! Being astounded would have been an understatement for I kept wondering what must be going on in his head that he chose these diverse and unrelated fields of study!

Just like how in the 21st century, the mindset of people has changed towards higher education, new tools have emerged from the technology space that these new age geeks and nerds are using to reach out and share their theories and ideas with the world.

BLOGGING has suddenly become a necessary tool for the new age thought scientists to share their logs with the world. It could be from a simple pasta recipe to the creation of a new design for walking shoes, blogs are becoming a tool for sharing and accumulating information all over the globe. It’s a tool that’s being used by students to research and network with other researchers, by professionals to market their product and ideas, by scientists and doctors to get feedback on their ongoing experiments, by sportsmen and sports analysts to discuss and share the forward drives and the pulls, by artists to promote their work and get feedback on the same! Blogging has emerged as the most important tool that one can use in the digital age to stay connected and share one’s thought in the global arena.

I personally am an analog fan and it’ll take a supernova to completely convert me to the thought of writing and reading everything digitally, but I can surely tell you not to be like me as the world is changing at a pace in which people like me will soon become obsolete (yesterday I was reading an article in the Hindu about a typewriter repair man who will soon be out of job coz there are only a handful typewriters left in mumbai for him to repair). However, said that, I can assure you that once this whole digital world crashes, and the “Judgement Day” actually consumes the best of the world, Analog will save the rest who are still loyal!

Till then, I’ll be more than happy enjoying the best of this digital experience and at the same time keeping one foot on the analog spectrum!

Therefore, keep blogging till the end of the world.. . :)
